Legal Department

The Legal Department deals with the citizens’ complaints and provides consultations to the data controllers, data processors and data subjects.

The main functions of the Department are:

  • To deal with the citizens’ complaints;
  • To provide written and verbal consultations to public and private organizations, as well as individuals on the issues related to the legitimacy of data processing;
  • To deal with the applications on trans-border data flows;
  • To prepare analytical documents on the issues related to the personal data protection on the basis of the international experience;
  • To prepare draft normative acts and bylaws;
  • To prepare recommendations and guidelines on the issues related to personal data protection;
  • To prepare opinions and proposals on the draft laws and other legal acts related to the personal data processing;
  • To represent the Office of the Inspector in the court;
  • To keep registrar of the filing system catalogues;
  • To participate in the preparing of the Inspector’s annual report

The staff of the Legal Department consists of:

  • Head of the Legal Department
  • Senior Lawyer
  • Lawyer
  • Filling System Specialist
